Supporting the regional food industry

The development, validation and market launch of healthy food products is a central focus of nutriCARD. A strong emphasis has been placed on nutritional concepts which involve the development of foods and drinks which are heart-healthy. The Innovation Office, located in Halle (Saale), will be the intermediary between science and industry. A main task of the Innovation Office is to support and coordinate the sharing of relevant information between academic and industry partners to develop innovative and marketable food products. To validate new product ideas as well as identify relevant funding possibilities the Innovation Office supports regional small and medium size companies. In addition the Innovation Office offers a series of workshops to inform interested companies about emerging technologies in the field of food industry.
